Havana, FL (PRWEB) March 21, 2006 -- A dynamic and exciting Bead, Jewelry and Art Extravaganza is set for April 8 & 9, 2006 at the Planter's Exchange in Havana, Florida. The Planter's Exchange, a designated National Landmark in Havana, Florida, is just a short 15 minute drive from Tallahassee. The event is promoted by The Down The Street Bead Show, Inc.

Havana isn’t your normal town since you can't even find it on a map anywhere. Plus it has a hidden past that put many towns in Florida to shame. They use to grow the shade tobacco that was used to roll that famous Havana Cuba tobacco and that’s how the town got its name.

Havana has been on a rebound since they stopped growing shade tobacco and now has many small retail shops and restaurants open and inviting people to come visit their quaint little town.

So why not make a weekend of it and stop by The Havana Florida Bead, Jewelry, and Art Extravaganza on April 8th (10am-6pm) and April 9th (10am-5pm).

It is open to the public with a $4.00 entrance fee. Children are free. (A rain or shine event held outside under cover)

While you're at it make sure take a stroll through town since most of the stores and restaurants will be having some special sales just for visitors of the bead and jewelry show.

Havana Florida is located 15 miles north of Tallahassee on State Rd 27 which is just off of Interstate 10.
